Reds struggles to continue?

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:30 CET 21/04/2024

Fulham host Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening and will be looking to put a dent in The Reds title hopes.

Marco Silva’s side have won 9 of their 16 games on home soil and have conceded just 16 goals during these matches.

Fulham have the 7th best home record in the Premier League and 4th best defence in the league at home, conceding just two more goals than the best defence Manchester City.

The Cottagers could well fancy themselves to avoid defeat against Jurgen Klopp’s side who have been out of sorts the last few games, with 3 defeats in their last 6 matches in all competitions.

Silva’s men have kept the 2nd highest number of clean sheets at home out of all teams and have conceded just 4 goals in their last 6 home games.

The graphic below shows Fulham with 6 clean sheets from their 16 Premier League games at Craven Cottage this term, giving them a clean sheet percentage of 38%.

Goalkeeper Bernd Leno has kept 9 clean sheets from 33 Premier League games this campaign, which is the joint 2nd highest after Arsenal’s David Raya.

The graphic below shows Fulham’s 9 clean sheets in the league so far ranks them joint 3rd for clean sheets out of all Premier League sides.

The Cottagers face a Liverpool side which hasn’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 9 fixtures in all competitions.

MrPlay are offering 2.40 on Fulham +1 goal handicap and with their solid defensive home record, Siva’s team should back themselves to at least hold The Reds to a draw and avoid a loss in this one.

Fulham have won 2 of their last 3 games at home, keeping clean sheets in two of these and could well deliver the hammer blow to Liverpool’s chances of winning the title come full-time on Sunday.
