Investigation underway following gambling outlet robbery in St Paul’s Bay

A masked male robber targeted a gambling outlet in St Paul’s Bay in Malta, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident, which took place on Triq il-Qroll, was reported to the police at approximately 11:15 am on Monday.

Threatened with a knife

The assailant threatened a 23-year-old Italian female employee with a knife and demanded that she hands over the cash in the till. Fortunately no injuries were reported during the ordeal.

Law enforcement authorities have launched an intensive search in their efforts to identify the thief responsible for the incident. Meanwhile, Magistrate Lara Lanfranco has initiated an inquiry into the crime, supplementing the ongoing police investigation.

As investigations continue into the robbery, police are working gathering evidence which includes surveillance footage and witness accounts. Authorities may also collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to expedite the process to identify the suspect.
